Launches Interactive Showroom of the Internet
Scottsdale, Arizona
October 27, 1998 - e-try.com introduces an innovative
"Showroom of the Internet" at www.e-try.com.
The Web site features realistic, interactive simulations for a variety of
products, including consumer electronics, industrial equipment and industrial services.
Customers are able to take a product for a virtual "test drive" using their own
PC, experiencing its features first-hand. This enhances the e-commerce process by enabling
on-line product trials, resulting in a more informed consumer.
For manufacturers, e-try.com provides a unique medium for
increasing marketing effectiveness and enhancing advertising by providing a virtual
showroom, where the function, operation, and use of their products can be demonstrated.
The e-try concept of interactive simulation engages potential customers
as active participants in the marketing of a companys product. Compared to more
traditional marketing, the potential customer spends more time with the product,
understands it better, and remembers it longer.
The Company plans to expand e-try.com to become the Internet
focal point for customers to obtain product information before buying, and product support
after the sale.
According to e-try.coms CEO, Rich Madarasz, "People
learn most effectively through actual experience, whether it is driving a car, playing a
sport, or doing their jobs. The e-try concept extends this to e-commerce,
by giving consumers virtual hands-on experience with current and future products."
Peter Taylor, Director of Sales and Marketing for PipeLine Technologies, Inc.,
says "We selected e-try.com to develop an interactive demonstration
that offers our customers immediate understanding of our products capabilities. We
feel that this provides us with a competitive advantage in our market place."
e-try.com is based on proprietary technology developed by the
Company. The e-try concept is based on the founders more than 30
years of experience in developing software products that help people understand and use
technology.
